Hair Bows

Grandma Poodle has started making bows for Miley and Irelyn. And- they are beautiful!!! We love them!!! We can't wait for her to make more. We will have the best bows in the neighborhood! Thanks Poodle!

Eye Color

Pretty much since the girls have been born I have been dying to know what their eye color is. I have brown eyes and Cameron has blue eyes. I know that brown is WAY more dominant. But, I have held out a small bit of hope that one of the girls would have something other than brown yes. So, I took a couple pictures of them so you could see their eyes. Unfortunately you really can't tell their eye color from this. Currently Irelyn's eyes look hazel and Miley's look blue. I hate that they can still change because I am getting way too impatient. So, I guess I will wait some more.

Tuesday

I have definitely been enjoying my time off with Miley and Irelyn. Here are a few pics from the day.
My new stroller I spend the majority of the day chasing after hurricane Mirelyn...but I love it!
Irelyn learned to wave...only she waves at herself. It is sooo cute!
Miley has a tantrum when anything doesn't go her way. I am hoping it is just a phase....
Irelyn took 4 of her 6oz bottle in a sippy cup!! I was so excited!

Twin Communication

I have noticed that Miley and Irelyn are really starting to communicate with one another. Especially, copying one another.

When one coughs...the other coughs.
When one laughs...the other laughs.
When one screams...the other screams.
When one claps... the other claps.
When one says mama...the other says mama.

The list is never ending. I just find it all so interesting. I guess they really will have their own language.

We bought the girls a play area- don't know what it is called. A gated area to keep them in one place. Well, they don't like it. They like their hurricane to consume the entire house :). When I go back to work next week we will give it to Grandma Mick. I hope she has better luck!

Christmas

Christmas day was fun filled and a great day to be with family. Miley and Irelyn enjoyed their very first Christmas!
Mom, get up!! We want to see what Santa brought! Oh boy! Stockings!
Good thing we were good this year, we really needed these carseats!
Oh, and cookie monster!!
Later we went to aunt Katie's. We did our best to take a family Christmas picture. :)
Ainsley and Poodle. Mom asked her to smile and she said that this is how Rubie smiles, so that is how she was going to. (Yes, weird, I know Julie. No, Rubie doesn't smile like that.)
Taking our first ride in the wagon Poodle and Grandpa gave us.
Trying to take a picture with Janna and Jaydon. Janna and Jaydon look great....just couldn't get Miley and Irelyn to smile for the camera.
Daddy and his girl Irelyn.

Day after Christmas

My next post will be about Christmas :).
Anyway, yesterday we played and played with our new toys. We got to go on a wagon ride with our new wagon. Now, that was a lot of fun. Later that night we went to dinner at BJ's and we were especially wild!! Mom and grandma were very busy at dinner!

Christmas Eve

Don't worry, we didn't forget to leave Santa and his reindeer a snack :). Mommy decided to take us to the grocery store this morning. She pushed the stroller and pulled the cart behind her. We were very good but I am sure we made quite a scene. No pictures because mom was WAY too busy keeping us happy, buying groceries, and trying to steer us in the right direction without hitting anyone.
So later mommy had to go to CVS to pick up a prescription. She also picked us up elf hats. She thought they were very cute. Unfortunately, we did not. She just wanted to take a picture of us in them...but we didn't allow it!

So, instead she put us in this red container. We weren't that entertained. Miley kept on eating one of Daddy's DVD's from the hurricane earlier.

We wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas tomorrow!!! Have a wonderful holiday!

Hurricane Mirelyn

My friend Julie has an almost 3 year old daughter Rubie. She seems to think that Miley and Irelyn are one baby and calls them Baby Mirelyn. Anyway, it has kinda stuck. My parents call them the babies Mirelyn and I now call them Hurricane Mirelyn. Why do I call them this? Well, since they are now totally mobile they get into everything- making it look like a hurricane went through my house. They especially love Cameron's DVD's under the TV. Mom or dad puts them away, and they get them out...repeat...500 times. Nothing is safe from hurricane Mirelyn!
"Hey Miley, come back here!! I found something good."
"These DVD's are great!"
Another day...another hurricane in the DVD section.
In other news....
Miley found a new use for the Jumparoo
Miley tried real bananas (and loves them).
Irelyn is drooling up a storm with her new toofer.
Waiting for daddy to get home. Where are you daddy?

Our weekend

I really cannot believe how much the girls have changed this week. I may have mentioned some of this before, but it just amazes me. Here is what has changed....
Irelyn got her first tooth!!!!!!
Miley got her 3rd and 4th tooth!!!!
Irelyn started clapping (and the clapping even makes noise).
Irelyn started singing the "bye, bye, bye" part of a song while at Gymboree on Saturday.
Miley completely figured out how crawling works and is ALL over the place.
Irelyn clapped for me when I got up this morning and went to get her from her crib.
I know there is more that I am missing.... :) Here is a recap of some of the events of our weekend.
Irelyn and Miley played together.....and had mommy running after them ALL day. here is Irelyn clapping for Miley. Irelyn proud of her new tooth.
Have I mentioned that Miley LOVES to make messes? She loves it. Within about an hour she took an entire roll of wrapping paper off the roll, removed all the baby wipes from a container, and unwrapped an entire roll of paper towels (I have the pic on my phone, I need to send it to myself). Of course mommy thinks its funny. But, not when she has to clean it all up.
Taking out one wipe at a time.
Admiring her work.
Later we made a gingerbread house. Let me say, usually I am a perfectionist at this sort of thing. But, well, with two babies, we were lucky you could tell what it was in the end!
Finished product
Miley thinking it needs one last touch.

Mom has 2 weeks off work and she is SO happy to spend it with her girls!

Old favorites

I was just looking back at some of my old pics. For some reason I really enjoy these.
Miley looking at mama with big beautiful eyes.
The girls the morning after they were finally reunited.
Irelyn's first doctors appointment. I think she was about 5.5lbs (almost 7 weeks old)

They have changed so much!

"Santa..."

Irelyn- "Miley, I really hope Santa brings us those new car seats we asked him for."
Miley- "We really have been good."

Miley and Irelyn can't wait to wake up on Christmas morning. They told Santa they have been good. I think Santa will agree :).

In other news....
Irelyn learned to clap.
Miley got two more teeth. She already had the bottom middle two. Now, she has two on the top...but not the middle two. The ones next to them. Let's hope she doesn't look like a vampire :). (Irelyn is still toothless>)

Christmas Card

Most people have gotten their Christmas card, so I figured it would be okay to post it here now. I love my little family!!
Cameron and I were thinking about how the girls have grown. It didn't bother me so much before that the girls have grown so fast. Or maybe, I hadn't stopped to think about it like I am now. But, now we have realized that time is just passing by way too quickly. If only they could just slow down. I want to remember and cherish every moment. Every moment is precious. We couldn't ask for more with these two little miracles. They learn something new every day and we are so lucky to see it all.

Grandma Mick and Papa Matt's Christmas Party

Saturday we went to Grandma Mick and Papa Matt's Christmas party. The girls were excited to go to their first Christmas party! Unfortunately, they were afraid of great uncle Todd. I guess they just have to get used to him :). Otherwise, they loved "talking" to everyone. They especially loved beautiful auntie Myeong. The girls went to bed at regular time, so missed a lot of the party. But, they can't wait for next year!

Mission Inn

We went to the Mission Inn last night with the girls to check out the lights. We let the girls stay up late- 8:00 (they usually go to bed at 6:30). But, they loved seeing all the lights and Christmas decorations.
Mission Inn- Most of the light pictures didn't turn out The girls staying warm and strolling around
Miley looking around
Daddy and Irelyn looking at an elf (a scary one :))
Mommy and Miley with the elf...yes, of course she has her thumb in her mouth.
It was a lot of fun. We dressed the girls in their footsie pjs so they stayed warm and we could put them right to bed when we got home. We think it'll be a new tradition to go every year. :)
