I ordered Miley and Irelyn's Halloween costumes today. Who do you think will be what? :)

Although Miley and Irelyn are doing amazingly well, there is never a day that I forget how far they have come. Any thoughts on the article?

Pre-work fun

Just a few last pics from before I returned to work today. I had so much fun with the girls. I hope the next 3 months goes by super quick. I can't wait to spend more time with them in December.
Miley has found that the hose is one of her favorite toys.

I gave the girls Play Dough for the first time. When I taught kindergarten my brother made some dough rollers for me. I still had them, and now Miley and Irelyn can use them. Although, they think it is more fun to put the play dough in the top and it comes out of the bottom. I was really surprised/glad that they didn't think that it was to eat. :)

On top of the toy box :)

Irelyn was frantically trying to get all her toys into one of her tents. Why.......

Miley is inside playing with them!

Look at the tent mom made!

Have a great weekend!

More Fun!

Another day spent outside! I decided to let the girls swim the their kiddie pool, very last minute. We just threw some swimmers on and filled up the pool. Miley was having an ABSOLUTE blast! She was bouncing up and down, tasting the water, splashing, and just having fun. While Irelyn enjoyed the water, she wasn't as wild as Miley. I put the pool in the middle of the grass, I figured it would be safer than on the cement, if they fell. Unfortunately, the wasps that are near our ground cover were getting a little close to the pool. It freaked me out, so an short time later we went back to playing at the sand and water table.

Miley, so incredibly happy.

Monday morning....hey I thought we just had twins! :)

I can't believe I have to go back to work on Friday. I am so sad. :(

Weekend Fun!

We had a busy weekend...well, especially on Saturday. We had Gymboree, went to lunch, and went to a first birthday party. The party was from 5pm-8pm. Fortunately, it was only a couple doors down from our house. Yes, the girls still go to bed super early. So, they started to break down at about 7:00, so we had to head home. But, they had a blast. They had an awesome backyard to play in!

I included a couple other pics. The girls enjoying cooking with me. They hate taking turns but we have been making recipes that they can help me with. We make really simple recipes, like we made Bisquick muffins the other day. Tonight we made an oreo pie. They got to add the milk, stir the recipe, dump it into a pie crust, and add oreos to the top. Well, of course, I had to let them try their work! I was surprised that Irelyn liked it so much! I gave them a spoon and a bit on a plate. Here is what Irelyn did with the spoon :). I got a cornbread mix to make next.

And finally...I know I don't blog about them much, but we do have 3 dogs- Lucy, Angel, and Shadow. Three indoor dogs :). Lucy and Angel were being so adorable last night I had to take a picture! Yes, Angel is laying completely on top of Lucy, and Lucy didn't mind a bit!

Pudding

Yes, this is my 3rd post of the night! :)
The girls had a play date at Sarah's house today. They played in the backyard and then had a pudding party. I was a little shocked that Irelyn was way more into it than Miley! The girls had a great time. Sarah and David are a lot of fun to play with!

Lyndie's house

I went to visit Lyndie yesterday. The girls had a great time visiting with Gracie. She showed them all the good dance moves! I hate that I don't get to see Lyndie all that often. I really miss her. But, it was great seeing her!
You brought the camera, mom?

My...um....attempt at taking a picture with my girls. One day this will be easier, right?

Silly Irelyn

Irelyn thought it was a good idea to model all of her "ears" tonight. Doesn't she look cute!

The sweetest thing

The girls do the sweetest thing. Something so simple, but just melts my heart. Every time they do it, I smile- I cannot help it. Even when they are doing something they shouldn't be doing...like in the picture below, it doesn't seem so bad because it is the sweetest thing. What is it? They call each other sissy or sister. No matter what they are doing, they want the other to do it. Hey sissy, I have my bottle, here is your bottle. Hey sister, come play with Clifford with me. Hey sissy, let's go outside. Or, as in the picture below, Hey sister, let's sprinkle Cheerios all over the dining room. They melt my heart.

Another Wednesday

Another Wednesday at home with the girls....I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
We did a lot of playing outside again today. The girls love playing on the back patio. Unfortunately, Irelyn fell and scraped up her knee today. I felt so sad for her. But, she is okay, only cried a tiny bit! The girls rediscovered an old toy set of keys. They never really interested them before, but today they must have though they were real. Miley was determined to find the right key to open the doors. She wouldn't give up. And, even then, it was Irelyn's turn! It was sooo much fun!
Miley, choosing the key.

Trying to unlock the doors.

When daddy got home we went to Toys R Us. I wanted to get an easel for the playroom that I am creating. We have decided that we aren't going to move for another year. In order to make more space for the girls we are making the extra room a playroom. The girls got to ride one of the rides on the way out (their first time-mommy is a weirdo about germs).

Playing with our new easel before it is moved!

A great day, yet again!
