Silhouettes

On Thursday I went out to lunch with my friend Julie. She took a couple shots of the girls before lunch. Well, she took the shots and created these amazing silhouettes. Aren't they gorgeous? And, they look just like the girls!!! I haven't decided where to put them in our house yet. I want to find the perfect spot! But, I love them!! Thank you so much Julie.

PS- I know you want to be the first to sponsor me for March of Dimes. Or the second, third.... :)

March of Dimes!

It's that time for the March of Dimes!!!!
Last year Cameron and I took part in the March of Dimes for the first time. It is very important to us to raise awareness and fight prematurity in babies. As many of you know, Miley and Irelyn were born at 29.5 weeks. It was an extremely hard time in our lives having them be born so early. Fortunately, things turned out okay. But, there are many, many babies out there born prematurely everyday. Cameron and I want to help raise money for this wonderful cause. I know money is tight, but we would really appreciate any donations. You can click on the link on the right of the page to help donate. Again, we would really appreciate if you could help us reach our goal!
Here are a couple pictures of my preemies!
Miley, 3 days old. She spent here first couple weeks under the bili lights- so she got to wear ski goggles.

Irelyn 4 days old.

Here are a few pictures of us at last years walk.
Miley asleep. So precious. One of my favorite pictures of her!

Family shot of us last year.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Home from road trip

We are finally home. We got back Monday evening. We had a great time, but are really glad to be home.
Car time....
Our house to Tucson- 9.5 hours
Tucson to Phoenix- 4 hours
Phoenix to Vegas- 6 hours
Vegas to home 6 hours

Here are quite a few pics....

So, how did we get them to behave so well in the car?

DVD players for the car!!! They don't watch tv at home. And, their carseats are still rear facing. So, how boring would it be to stare at the back of a seat for many hours? So, we got them portable DVD players for the car. They LOVED them!!!! They especially love watching Barney. They will not stay in the car, they are just for special road trips.
We were so luck to see the Weinermobile while driving to AZ. I was the most excited :).

We stopped and took many breaks to feed the girls and allow them to stretch their legs. Here is Daddy and Miley playing.

We took the girls on several walks at my Grandpa's house. He has lots of land and the girls liked looking around.

Here is Poppy and the girls. This is the first time they have met.

And Grandpa and the girls. Also, the first time they've met.

Grandpa and me.
The back of our car...lol.
Hilary's first birthday!! yay, cake!
Daddy and his girls at a rest stop.
Daddy, Trevor, and Irelyn in Vegas.
Auntie Myeong introduced Miley to the tangerine. Oh my gosh, does she love them!!!!!!
Trevor trying to entertain the girls.
We had a wonderful time and we can't believe how good the girls were!!!! But, we are glad to be home!

On the road...

Just a quick update....
We were in Tucson Monday and stayed with my Grandpa for a couple days. We got to see my aunt, uncle, cousin, and other grandpa (Poppy) while we were in town. It took us about 9.5 hours to get there and the girls were excellent for the drive. Unfortunately, they didn't sleep very well the first night...since they slept so much in the car. But, since then they have slept great! Then, we headed to Phoenix to see my other aunt and uncle. It was one of my cousins daughter's birthday- Happy 1st Birthday Hillary. We also got to see my uncle Ed while in Phoenix. It has been good times all around. The girls have been excellent and have been enjoying meeting everyone!!
We are headed to Vegas tomorrow to see Cameron's brother, Trevor, and his wife, Myeong. Hopefully the trip won't take too long. I'll try to update again from Vegas. I will post pictures when we return. We are turning the girls into little travelers!!!!

One Year Appointment

The girls had their one year appointment on Tuesday. It was a little late because they both have been sick. Luckily, Jacy came with me in order to help out the girls. I actually let the girls play with the "games" in the waiting room. And, they did love it!
Anyway, the appointment went well. Irelyn is weighing in at 19.5lbs and Miley is 21.12lbs. Both girls got 5 shots (yikes), and I got a lecture that I need to start cooking... and that Costco meals are not good enough. So, I will start cooking more and the girls will get to start drinking whole milk when we come back from our trip! It was a good appointment except that Miley and Irelyn's heads are measuring in the 90th percentile (yikes!). I hope that means that they just have big brains. Doctor is going to watch them to make sure this is the case :).
Thank you Jacy for going!! I couldn't have done it without you!

And, a random note...
My friends Jacy and Brandi took me out to dinner Monday for my birthday. It was quite embarrassing, but we had a great time!! I also love the spa certificates they gave me. It was good times all around!

Fun stuff

First, a picture of Miley. Hanging out by the front door, her favorite spot. Irelyn went to Gymboree without Miley on Sunday. Miley had a runny nose and I didn't want her to get the other kids sick. She still had a ton of fun, even without her sis.

We got a couple new toys for the girls. Unfortunately, most of the pics are of Irelyn because Miley was quite grumpy. But, they both especially love these Leap Frog Magnets!

This is a donut ring holder, as I call it. They figured it out very quickly! Miley loves it!

That's it! We are still having a ton of fun at home. Next time...more pics of Miley!

Time with the girls

I have had so much fun being off with the girls!! They are so much fun. Unfortunately, they are still congested and boogery. Hopefully this will go away very soon! Here is a run down of a few things that have been going on....
Tuesday was my birthday. Cameron bought her a Wii and Wii fit. The girls get to watch me do the hula hoop, but usually I exercise while they are asleep. It is a lot of fun!!

The girls got a ball popper as a birthday gift. They love it! They figured out right away that they must press the red lever and chase the balls when they fly out. Then they put them right back in.

They are still very dependent on their blankies. Sometimes they carry them around in their mouths...as Irelyn is demonstrating.
We went to the park and rode the swings, that was a lot of fun!
Every night when Cameron gets home they go for a walk in their cars. This is their favorite activity right now.
Otherwise, we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with some friends, went shopping at the mall, went to Target, and ran a ton of errands. It really has been so nice being off with the girls. We will be going on a road trip to Arizona and Vegas near the end of the month. So much fun!!!
