Christmas Tree

We went to go get our Christmas tree on Saturday. The plan was to go cut a tree down from the place we got our pumpkins from. Well, things changed a bit. Apparently, people start coming November 28th to reserve their trees. Then, they can come and cut them down whenever they'd like. So, by the time we got there the only trees left were super expensive, or 12ft tall. I was a bit disappointed, but we learned for next year. Everything ended up great though. We had a wonderful time choosing a pre-cut tree. The girls love seeing new places...especially outdoor ones. Here are a few pictures.

Today uncle David came over to put Christmas lights on our house. We are so lucky to have him!! He always makes sure they are straight! Poodle and Grandpa brought over a mat that the girls can use to crawl on. And, it's a hit!!! Miley loves sitting on it and moving around on it. They both love feeling the textures! They are going to buy the girls one more to cover the floors in the living room. I have always loved wood floors, until Miley and Irelyn started crawling. Since then, I have been so paranoid. Now, the floor has a little padding. It is great!! Thanks Poodle and Grandpa...and thanks David for the lights!

That tree looks great! I hope we'll get to see some pics of it once it's decorated. I've been wanting to get a mat like that, too. It comes apart in pieces, right? Looks like a really fun day!

They are just so cute! When I was little we used to get together with lots of family members and we'd all go out in the woods and cut down Christmas trees. Now we just have a fake one - I'm allergic to the real thing. Boo hoo hoo. Can't wait to see it all decorated!
