Miley and Irelyn (Miley the most) are absolutely obsessed with reading books. Miley would rather read than do anything. I will read a book to her once and she hands it back to me and says "book" meaning read it again. It is a never ending cycle. We will read a book 10 times and she still wants to hear it again. Irelyn really loves looking at the pictures. Miley is more focused on actually reading the book. I really am not exaggerating. They LOVE reading (and yes, I am sooooo proud). Funny thing is that we started off reading them books every day in the Nicu. I used to read books to their isolettes (incubators) and although it seemed silly, be never stopped reading. They would hear at least one book per day. I do believe that parents are the ones that are able to get their children excited about reading. If you read to your child from an early age they will love to read. And, can I mention that I have an ABC book that I used when I taught kindergarten, and every time I turn to the page with the D, Miley says the "d" sound.
