Irelyn is a HORRIBLE eater. You know that saying, if a baby is hungry they will eat? Not true for Irelyn. She would be content only having bottles all day. She refuses to eat. Pretty much the only things she will eat are those nasty Gerber baby hot dogs (Kind of like vienna sausages for babies but they are chicken and turkey), Gerber crunchies, strawberries if allowed to stand up, a few cheerios, and scrambled eggs on occasion. Otherwise, I must distract her long enough to spoon feed some stage two baby food into her mouth. rarely, she will try other things, but not too often, If she realizes that she is eating, she has a complete fit. Feeding is complete torture. This is why I am not really trying to wean the bottle yet. Milk is her main form of food.
So, Cameron did the grocery shopping this week. He brought home fish sticks. I thought gross and really unhealthy. But, I was willing to give it a try. The girls always get a meat, fruit, and a veggie for all meals. With Irelyn, I just always hopes she eats something. Well, she LOVED the fish sticks!!!!! She ate 2.5 of them...and that is huge for her!!!!!!! I can't imagine why she loved this of all foods...but I'll take it.
I really hope her eating like this is only a stage. If anyone has any advice...I'd love to hear it!

I wish I had advice for you. My two and a half year old is still a lousy eater. I have tried the whole "well if you don't eat supper, you don't get anything else till breakfast." Yeah, well he is completely willing to wait till breakfast. He doesn't care. Then he scarfs at breakfast and then won't eat the rest of the day! If you find something that works let me know!
Charlie goes through those picky eating stages too. I noticed that he does it when he is cutting teeth. We went through many weeks of him just eating green beans, grapes and toast for dinner. We're going through it again! She should get out of it soon!
I will be enjoying fish sticks tonight. I must say they are yummy
Allison will eat nothing but Cheerios. Seriously. Cheerios and nothing else.
